"Winnings not everything, it's the ONLY thing!" - Vince Lombardi

Welcome to my website. I have played with many great players during my years of playing wheelchair hockey, and I noticed
that there are a lot of league web pages, but barely any web pages about certain players and their personal
success, so I decided to make one.I am currently playing in Michigan and we are in our 7th season.

Please feel free to come check out our league and see me in action. Here is my schedule

F.A.Q

Frequently Asked Questions
Often when I tell people that I play wheelchair hockey I get many questions about what it is, how long I've played, is it played on ice etc. So I've decided to add a Frequently Asked Questions (F.A.Q) section to this page to put all your minds at rest and hopefully I'll answer some of your questions.

What is Wheelcair Hockey?
Wheelchair hockey is played on a gym floor with a plastic ball and plastic sticks with .... you guessed it plastic nets. Players stay in their wheelchair (manual or electric) to play the game. Wheelchair Hockey has been going on in Canada for over 15 years and continues to grow stronger every year. The game is meant to adapt the game of hockey so that people with disabilities and limit strength and movement can play. Each league has their own seperate rules and guidelines the follow but they all cover the basic rules of Ice Hockey using Offsides, Penalties and Icing to name a few.

Have You Ever Played on Ice?
Yes, In my current league we hold a yearly game on ice to raise funds for our league. It's not as bad as I thought and traction on he chairs is pretty good. The worst thing is the temperature, I get cold very quickly so playing on ice isn't one of my favourite things to do. Click here to see me playing on ice.

Where is the Game Played?
The game is played throughout the world including Canada (Calgary, Toronto, Vancouver Island, Hamilton, London), USA (Michigan, Minnesota), Finland, Italy, Germany, Australia and almost every place that you can think of in between.

What is the Difference Between Wheelchair Hockey and Sledge Hockey?
Their are two main differences. Sledge Hockey is played on ice and players sit on tobbogan like sledges. They wear proper hockey equiptment and play with pucks. Wheelchair hockey players play on a gym floor in their wheelchairs. They use plastic/lightweight equiptment. The other main difference is the players strength. Sledge hockey requires a lot more strength than wheelchair hockey, sledge hockey players are often Paraplegic or some type of other disability that have storng upper bodies. Wheelchair hockey is often aimed towards weaker players with such disabilities as Muscular Dystrophy or Cerebral Palsy.

Have a Question?
If you have a question please feel free to E-Mail me, and if I feel that your question is a good one I may even post it on the site.
