"Winnings not everything, it's the ONLY thing!" - Vince Lombardi

Welcome to my website. I have played with many great players during my years of playing wheelchair hockey, and I noticed
that there are a lot of league web pages, but barely any web pages about certain players and their personal
success, so I decided to make one.I am currently playing in Michigan and we are in our 7th season.

Please feel free to come check out our league and see me in action. Here is my schedule

Awards

During my years playing, I have been fortunate enough to win several team and individual awards. This section is dedicated to some of the awards I have won.

Team Awards

Championship

CEWHA League Championship

I won this award in my first year of playing. I didn't think much of it at the time, I thought winning was a reoccuring event. Only now do I truly appreciate this, since I haven't won a team championship since. Hopefully I will win another, but some players have never had the chance of winning a championship, at least I have.

RunnerUp

CEWHA Runner Up

This is a medal for finishing second in the league (losing in the finals). I won this award during my final year in Calgary. It was my first full year as a goalie and I enjoyed every minute of it.

AllStar

WCHL All-Star Trophies

These are my two All-Star championship trophies. I was on the winning team of the All-Star game during the 1999-00 and 2000-01 seasons. I did play in the 1998-99 All-Star game but my team lost.

WorldCup

World Cup Medal

This is a medal I got for competing in the World Championships in Minnesota during the summer of 2001. Our team finished 10th, I got sick, was rushed to the hospital and only played 10 minutes of the entire tournament.

Individual Awards

Improved

CEWHA Most Improved Player

After being selected for the National Tournament team, I tryed out for the goalie position. I had always been a defenseman, but I thought I would try something new. After the tournament was over I decided to continue to play goalie and therefore I gained confidence and I was a much better player. At the end of the 1992-93 season, the league saw the improvement in my play and awarded me with this "Most Improved Player of the Year Award" it was my first ever individual award for playing hockey. It's probably one of my top two favourite awards I have.

Gamesmanship

WCHL Gamesmanship Award

This award along with my "Most Improved Player of the Year" are my two favourites. I was given this award at the end of the 2000-01 season. The head referee of the league said that he wanted to give out an award to the player(s) who showed the most leadership, dedication and love for the game. He also stated that the winner of this award was a master of "Mental Intimidation" and often messed with the oppositions minds when playing. I covet this award so much because it is everything I try do when I play and someone actually noticed that I do it. I try help other, put my team in front of my personal goals and strive to help the players around me.

TeamMVP

Cobras Team MVP

The 1999-00 Season was my best season as a player. I won several awards and I had career highs in all statistical categories. I tallied 21 Goals, 7 Assists for a total of 28 points in 9 games. My team also made it to the finals. My team Captain (Gary Bartle) saw that I had put 110% in every game and he named me as the Team Most Valuable Player.

Duo

Best Duo & Best Rivalry

During the 1999-00 My teammate (Mike Belanger) and I were on fire. Both of us seemed to know where eachother was at all times and we connected on many goals and great plays. The players in the league saw how well we worked together and saw how we led our team to the finals, therefore they voted for us to be the "Best Duo of the Year". That same year I also had some amazing chemistry with someone else, but chemistry of a different kind. Me and Brandon Lesner of the Seals (oddly enough we would be traded for one another 2 years later) won the leagues Best Rivalry. Every time Brandon and I played each other we played at 110% and went at eachother like rabid dogs. Many great games were played between the two of our teams and many things were busted including sticks, chairs and fingers.
